A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand on Tuesday, moving around a large high centred in the Tasman Sea.

Chance of a shower at times for the western North Island on Tuesday, it will more then likely be drier than it is wet. Mainly sunny conditions for eastern New Zealand, the West Coast of the South Island is fairly cloudy, a shower or two moves into Fiordland at times during the day.
