InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Saturday / Sunday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Fairly anticyclonic on Saturday with a weakening southwesterly airflow. Mainly anticyclonic again on Sunday with a west to northwesterly influence starting to develop over the South Island.

Showers about Northland ease clearing in the afternoon, a mix of sun and cloud for most other regions. Gisborne could see a morning shower or two. Some cloud for the West Coast of the South Island, the odd light shower about Fiordland then mainly sunny in the east.

A mix of sun and cloud for most North Island regions on Sunday, the east coast looks to be the sunniest spot. There is the risk of a light shower about the tip of Northland and the western side of East Cape otherwise mainly dry. The South Island sees cloudy periods in the west, a few light showers about Fiordland and mainly sunny conditions in the east.
