InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Saturday / Sunday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A southwesterly airflow covers the country on Saturday, tending northwest on Sunday with a front lurking about the far south.

Showers in the west and east of the North Island on Saturday, dry though about the Bay Of Plenty with mainly sunny weather. The South Island sees any morning cloud or showers in the east clear then mostly sunny, a mostly sunny start in the west then cloud builds from afternoon. A light shower or two moves into Fiordland around midday then spreads northwards along the coast in the evening.

A few showers for the western North Island on Sunday, warmer and sunnier out east. A similar story for the South Island with heavy rain developing about Fiordland then spreading northwards later in the day.
