A weakening front moves over the upper North Island today, a westerly airflow lies over the rest of New Zealand. A westerly airflow continues this weekend as an anticyclone is centred in the Tasman Sea.
Friday
Yellow – High’s reaching into the mid 20’s for the eastern South Island in the afternoon. Mid to late 20’s for much of the North Island. Early 30’s possible for some parts of the eastern North Island.
Saturday
Yellow – Another hot day for eastern and northern regions. High’s into the mid to late 20’s for most.
Sunday
Yellow – High’s for most of the North Island sitting in the mid to late 20 degree range. A few coastal spots may sit in the early 20’s however, Wellington for example.
Temperatures in the late 20’s or early 30’s for much of the eastern South Island, mid 20’s about Southland.
