We’ve been hearing about rain spilling over parts of the country but is there much of a sign of it near you?
So far the northern low seems to be struggling to kick into gear or has it produced something in your vicinity?
If you’re in the deep south has the promised substantial rain delivered or has it been rather patchy?
Temperatures are warm is some eastern areas with the low twenties being recorded but other parts haven’t seen it overl the top today.
Happy with your lot this afternoon or wishing for something more?

Christchurch warm and mostly sunny April day. Rain can stay away for as long as it likes.

We have had heavy cloud, high humidity and the “it’s about to rain” look all day, but nothing so far. Not even much wind, but fairly cool – 17 degrees most of the afternoon.
Hope it finally makes up its mind and gets on with it soon!

As at 4.38pm.. However, I believe Wellington will be in the middle of this system tomorrow.. Thus a fair drenching is on the way.. 🙂

Not been a large amount of rain in Whangarei and in fact thought that around lunchtime it was all over but then the winds got up and rain came. Not heavy but wind made it seem so. Quite yuk out right now.

a news item for your info… there is a boat at North Cape who has just radioed in, saying that the swell is too big to turn back. and they are dodging at North cape but they all well.

I must admit it is really nice to have to have a rainy day today here at Coopers Beach, the wind is not to nice though, but I am not grumping… 🙂

very dark grey clouds moving overhead but rain is absent. Mamaku (Rotorua) had very light misty rain at 8am this morn, nothing since although the wind is fresh at times, coming from nne I reckon it may just fizzle out looking at the weather pic
cheers

Here on the eastern point of the Whangaparaoa peninsula, we had light rain only – about 2 mm since this morning. We seem to always get much less rain than Orewa and Auckland in our (almost) desert.

Nothing to speak of so far in Hamilton. I can see it is very dark & hazy north & west but so far no moisture really. Quite blustery outside. I suspect most of our rain will come on the NW change
Cheers
Dave
