Hot in places, wet in others – #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook on Wednesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

There’s not too much to speak of in the way of risks on Wednesday, though it will be hot in inland eastern parts of the South Island – right through to Southland – and northwards up to Marlborough.

The North Island will be hot also, hottest inland for many, and especially the southwestern corner of the island, parts of inland Manawatu and surrounds.

There may be an isolated shower or two late in the afternoon – or early evening – about Southland and inland Otago.
The same goes for Taranaki and perhaps the Waikato in the north, though thsi is only a chance, and nothing in the way of serious falls.

Main Centres

Auckland

Warm, sunny and mostly clear in Auckland again, with northeasterlies and temperatures getting up near 30.

Wellington

Sunny and clear, light winds and temperatures in the mid 20s – you can’t beat Wellington on a good day.

Christchurch

Sunny in the mid south too, with easterlies picking up towards afternoon, but not before temperatures rise to around the mid 20s level.
