Weather conditions across much of the country today will be hotter and sunnier than yesterday, reports WeatherWatch.co.nz.
A high pressure system will cover all of New Zealand, hopefully finally pushing the overcast conditions off Auckland. WeatherWatch.co.nz has received a number of complaints this week about the gloomy weather in Auckland which has seen little to no sunshine hours in the past few days.
Who is the hottest today?
Hottest areas will be inland and western parts of both islands today. Hamilton, Paeroa, Rotorua, Taupo, Taumarunui and Palmerston North should be the hottest North Island centres, all expected to reach over 25 degrees and possibly into the late 20s.
In the South Island inland areas west of the Southern Alps – such as Murchison – should see highs closer to 30, as will Central Otago.
Most other centres in New Zealand should reach the low 20s.
