High tides again a concern for some Auckland commuters

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High tides will affect sections of Auckland’s motorway network this week.

The tides are forecast for the Manukau and Waitemata Harbours.

The motorway and adjoining cycleway on the Northwestern motorway is most at risk.

NZTA’s Tommy Parker says the tides will peak on Thursday and Friday mornings when commuter traffic volumes will be high.

He says drivers should be careful and if necessary cars will be diverted.
