High rolling in – The Big Picture on Tuesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have a high pressure system centred west of the country, out in the Tasman Sea, while a southwesterly airflow sits over New Zealand.

That means mostly cloudy skies in the west again, with patchy showers for most.
Long dry areas at times for western parts of the North Island, with showers less likely there.

Out east, skies are fairly sunny with warm weather in both islands – a welcome respite for some!

Supposed to be sunny (again) in Wellington tomorrow, not cloudy.
