Light blue: Cool conditions once again in the interior of the South Island
Conditions settle down as we head into the weekend, as a ridge of high pressure creates a spell of much calmer and clearer weather over most of the country.
Light blue: Frosty and cold conditions for the interior South Island – frosts likely to be heaviest in sheltered inland areas
Blue: Showers may affect eastern parts of Northland and the East Coast
The large ridge of high pressure once again brings a sunny and settled day across most of New Zealand.
Blue: Showers possible in Northland, Auckland and the Coromandel
The high pressure brings mainly settled weather once again.
