A depression moves towards the North Island tomorrow moving in from the Tasman Sea, this is set to bring more rain with heavy falls at times especially in the evening for the upper North Island. The South sees morning showers or cloud clear for most then sunny areas break through in the afternoon.
So for the upper North Island we see areas of rain for much of the day, heavy at times especially late afternoon / evening then easing overnight. From afternoon northwesterly winds pick up about Northland and parts of Auckland (especially coastal), becoming strong then easing overnight.
The lower North Island is fairly dry although the odd shower is expected along the east coast and especially for most in the evening for a time.
For the South Island’s West Coast showers clear around midday then sunny spells develop, light winds. The east coast has morning high cloud breaking to a mostly sunny afternoon, gusty northeasterly winds along the coast ease in the morning. About Southland and Otago shower activity may hang around till evening.
