Gusty winds for many

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It feels more like a spring day today as gusty winds set in and temperatures remain around the mid teens for many.

In Auckland gusts are reaching 55 to 75km/h an hour as the westerly sets in.

In Tauranga and Whangarei the winds have helped boost the temperature to 18 degrees this hour while in Wellington it’s 14 degrees with a northerly gusting to 50km/h in the city and over 80km/h on the hill tops.

Similar winds, gusting to 50km/h, are affecting Kaikoura and Westport.
