FRIDGE DOOR TO REOPEN IN RED AND BLACK TERRITORY

It’s been a week of ups and downs and the next 48 hours for Cantabrians will be no exception.

This week the region has been hit by thunder, lightning, sleet, hail and gales but in the last 24 hours, temperatures have nudged 20 degrees in some centres under cloudless skies and also basking in a warm nor’wester.

Today though a front is expected to hit, cooling temperatures considerably and then tomorrow a second front will whittle away at the mercury further with showers moving in and snow once again for the skifields.

Temperatures will struggle to hit double figures after midday tomorrow and with the southerly bringing its polar air, it might be a weekend for the thermals if you’re out and about.

Early next week the weather pattern settles for a period of time and the sunny winter days and frosty nights return.
