Here’s what is making the weather headlines today….
FOG THIS MORNING
We’ve had some still air over the North Island recently thanks to high pressure, moisture at the surface and clear nights has meant fog appearing. This morning we get a chance of fog for some North Island regions, perhaps about inland Buller for the South Island.
The next chance of fog appears to be Sunday morning for the South Island.
FRONT ON SUNDAY
A front pushes down over the North Island on Sunday bringing rain, there shouldn’t be too many issues here but there may be a few heavy falls as the front moves through.
Overnight into Monday rain may be persistent for the top of the South Island, a risk for heavy rain exists here again on Tuesday.
Any watches and warnings from Metservice coming up if they are issued can be seen here.
MORE WARM TEMPERATURES
Spring is here, temperatures are warming up, especially in the east and north. Cooling down a little on Monday but still warm for the upper North Island.
