A high sits over the country today bringing mainly settled weather, the airflow moving around the high brings a few showers in the north however and also for Fiordland.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Cloudy areas with the odd shower, showers in the west dry up in the afternoon with sunny spells more likely. Waikato and Bay Of Plenty is sunnier and drier but there will be some high cloud. Easterly winds.
Highs: 17-20

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, a touch of high cloud. Light winds.
Highs: 15-18

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy, southwesterlies tend northeast in the afternoon. There may be a coastal shower especially Mahia Peninsula northwards later in the day. Wairarapa breaks to sunny areas from afternoon.
Highs: 16-18

Wellington

Sunny with light southerly winds.
Highs: 16-18

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, light winds tend north to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 16-18

Canterbury

Sunny, light winds inland, east to northeasterly winds freshen across the Plains.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast

Sunny with light winds for North Westland, South Westland has cloud with northerlies, a few showers for Fiordland.
Highs: 15-18

Southland & Otago
Sunny, Southland may have some morning coastal cloud. Light winds.
Highs: 15-19
