Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Areas of cloud, a few showers also, especially into this afternoon then drying out from this evening. Southwesterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A few showers, starting to dry out from afternoon with some sun breaking through. South to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 10-15
Eastern North Island
Showers about Wairarapa spread further north this afternoon, showers clearing Wairarapa from this afternoon, southerly winds.

Wellington
Morning cloud then sunny spells increase from afternoon, southeasterly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, perhaps a clearing early shower for Nelson. Some cloud may hang about inland hills and ranges for the rest of the day. Light winds.

Canterbury
Sunny after a frosty start, light winds tend northeasterly in the afternoon across the plains.

West Coast
Mostly sunny, there may be some cloud at times. A few showers about Buller then drying out in the evening. Light winds.
