An anticyclone with it’s centre east of the North Island covers New Zealand bringing settled sunny weather.

Upper North Island

Mostly sunny and clear with easterly breezes mainly north of Auckland, northerly winds elsewhere light inland. Some cloud about Auckland during the day and in Northland skies fairly cloudy where there may be the odd shower. Some cloud also possible about Gisborne however remaining dry.
HIGHS: 24-27. Low 30’s for some inland areas mainly towards the Central North Island.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds and sea breezes, northeasterly breezes along the east coast with some cloud. Northerlies in Wellington a little breezy at times.
HIGHS: 24-26. Low 30’s for some inland areas.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, afternoon sea breezes in coastal areas. Some low cloud morning and night along the east coast.
HIGHS: 27-32, low to mid 20’s right on the West Coast however warmer inland

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny weather with a little high cloud, westerlies inland and sea breezes elsewhere. Some cloud morning and night about the east coast. Cloudy periods in Fiordland with the odd drizzle patch possible.
HIGHS: 27-32 for Central Otago, 24-27 about coastal Otago and Southland
