Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny spells, cloud thickens up later in the evening. Light southerlies tend southwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 12-15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A frosty start about the Central North Island. Cloudy areas otherwise with light winds tending west to northwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 8-13

Eastern North Island

Any morning showers clear then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon, southwesterlies die out by evening.
Highs: 11-13

Wellington

Mostly sunny, light winds tend northerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 10-11

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, high cloud later in the day. Light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 10-12

Canterbury

Mostly sunny, some high cloud later in the day. Light winds tend northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 10-12

West Coast

Mostly sunny, high cloud increases from afternoon. Skies about South Westland becoming cloudy in the morning, chance of a drizzle patch from midday then evening rain. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 9-11

Southland & Otago
A frosty start, mostly sunny with thickening high cloud. Light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 6-9
