Friday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Another quiet day is expected for the country.

Large high pressure is positioned squarely over New Zealand today.  That will keep our settled weather in place for today…and right through the weekend.

Temperatures are again chilly this morning.  We should see a nice rebound for this afternoon with highs expected in the mid and upper teens in most areas.

There is one spot in Aotearoa that may see some rain today.  Gisborne could see a few light showers today thanks to that persistent onshore flow.

Otherwise, another round of mainly sunny skies is expected for most of the country.
