A west to northwest airflow lies over the country today, a front lies over the South Island delivering some rain in the west and a few lighter falls out east. Mainly dry for the North Island although there may be some morning drizzle in the west.

Mainly sunny with some high cloud, light northwesterlies fairly breezy
about the Wairarapa.
Mostly cloudy with west to northwest winds, chance of a drizzle patch
mainly in the morning.

Western North Island
Cloudy periods, some morning drizzle clears then mainly dry for the rest of
the day. Northwesterly winds.
Periods of cloud with brisk to strong northwesterlies.
Sunny spells and areas of cloud, northwesterly winds.
Sunny areas and some high cloud, northwesterly winds.
Mostly cloudy with light winds tending ENE this afternoon, a few light
showers about mainly near the coast and perhaps inland about the
foothills.
Cloudy with drizzle turning to periods of rain in the morning, northerly
winds.
Any early rain clears then expect periods of cloud and the odd sunny spell,
light southwesterlies tend northeast in the afternoon.
