Mainly settled for most of New Zealand tonight under a ridge of high pressure extending out from an anticyclone in the Tasman Sea. As usual however, around the edges things are not perfect. Check out the forecasts below for your region.

Northland
Cloudy periods with the odd shower, southerly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-12

Auckland

Clear spells and some cloud, cloud clearing overnight. Southeasterlies ease.
Tonight’s Low: 8

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Cloud breaking this evening with mainly clear skies developing overnight,
remaining showers about the Bay Of Plenty clear by evening. Light
southeasterlies.
Tonight’s Lows: 1-8

Eastern North Island

Cloudy periods with the odd shower north of Napier clearing this evening,
skies remain fairly cloudy overnight although cloud breaks about the Wairarapa.
Southerly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

Western North Island

Remaining cloud clearing this evening, mainly clear skies overnight with
southeasterlies easing.
Tonight’s Lows: 0-4

Wellington

Cloud breaking away this evening, clear skies develop overnight with
southerlies easing.
Tonight’s Low: 6

Nelson

Clear skies with light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Marlborough

Clear skies with light winds.
Tonight’s Low: -1-1

Canterbury

Clear skies with light winds.

West Coast

Clear skies with westerly winds, colder temperatures inland and about
sheltered areas.

Cloudy periods with the odd brief shower possible at times, westerly
winds.
