A front moves over the South Island tonight bringing rain in the west and high cloud out east. A ridge hangs onto the North Island with mainly settled weather, there will sill be a fair amount of cloud about however.

Northland

Fairly cloudy with ESE breezes, the odd drizzle patch mainly in the east.

Tonight’s Lows: 18-19

Auckland

Mainly clear with some cloud increasing later this evening or overnight, northeasterly breezes. The odd light drizzle patch may move in overnight also.

Tonight’s Low: 19

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies with light northeasterlies, low cloud or fog patches
possible overnight. Skies becoming cloudy overnight for the Bay Of Plenty with
the odd drizzle patch then possible.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-19

Eastern North Island

Clear skies with east to northeast breezes easing this evening about Hawkes
Bay and Gisborne, winds more northwesterly about the Wairarapa.

Tonight’s Lows: 16-18

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with westerlies easing this evening, winds tend light
northerly overnight with some cloud moving in. Chance of a shower about Taranaki
and Kapiti by dawn.

Tonight’s Lows: 16-17

Wellington

Cloudy with northerly winds, a few spots of rain possible towards dawn
tomorrow morning.

Tonightâ€™s Low: 17

Nelson

Cloudy periods with northerly breezes, a few spots of rain towards dawn
tomorrow morning.

Tonight’s Low: 19

Marlborough

Sunny with some high cloud developing later this evening, gusty
northwesterlies ease a little overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 17

Canterbury

High cloud with north to northwesterly winds, tending more northeast near
the coast. Northwesterlies push through to the coast this evening bringing a
warm end to the day.

Tonight’s Lows: 18-20

West Coast

Cloudy with rain about Fiordland and South Westland moving north overnight.
Northerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 15-16

Coastal Otago

Cloudy with a few spots of rain possible this evening, northerly winds.
Cloud breaks up overnight with winds changing westerly.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Central Otago

Fairly cloudy with the odd shower, mainly this evening. West to northwest
breezes change more southwest towards dawn tomorrow.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Southland

Cloudy with a few spots of rain, northerly breezes. Winds change westerly
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 13
