New Zealand lies under a ridge of high pressure tonight for a brief time before the next front which is currently organising in the Tasman Sea. This means conditions will be mainly settled with the odd shower about for the North Island and on the West Coast of the South Island clearing this evening.
Auckland & Northland
Clear with some cloud, light west to northwest breezes. Any isolated showers clear this evening.
Lows tonight: 7-8
Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Some cloud with the odd isolated shower clearing this evening, mainly clear skies overnight. Light westerlies.
Lows tonight: 3-6
Eastern North Island
Areas of cloud clear this evening then mainly clear skies overnight, light winds.
Low tonight: 3-4
Western North Island
Clear spells and some cloud with north to northwesterly breezes. The odd shower about mostly clearing this evening although there is the risk of a remaining shower or two overnight for northern Taranaki.

Wellington
Fairly clear skies tonight with northerly breezes.

Nelson
Mainly clear skies with light west to southwest breezes.

Clear skies with westerlies easing this evening.

Mainly clear tonight with light winds, getting quite cool.

West Coast
Cloudy spells with showers clearing this evening, north to northeast breezes.
