The South Island and Lower North Island start the week fairly clear and mostly calm, while a ridge lies over most of the North Island.

A small low may cause some showers in parts of Northland on Monday, while there’s rain for the West Coast of the South Island, and more rain and showers move in later in the week.

Grey: Fog possible in inland parts of the Upper North Island

Blue: Wet on the West Coast of the South Island

 

Tuesday

Grey: Fog possible again in the morning and later in the evening (if conditions are right) in inland parts of the Upper North Island

 

Wednesday

Grey: Fog possible again in the morning and later in the evening (if conditions are right) in inland parts of the Upper and Central North Island – even over to the East Coast

Blue: Wet on the West Coast of the South Island
