Fog and heavy showers – #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

While Friday is shaping up pretty fine, there is some potential for some early fog about parts of the North Island – especially inland – as moisture in the air and light breezes will combine for fog-creating conditions.

Along with this, afternoon and evening showers move into Southland and Otago.
Central Otago may stay fairly dry, but along with showers comes the risk that one or two may be heavy – which is something to be aware of.

Main Centres

Auckland

Early cloud and fog clears away to a beautiful summer day – with temperatures in the high 20s and mostly clear skies.

Wellington

Sunny and fine in Wellington, with northwest breezes the only thing keeping the ‘feels-like’ temperatures in the mid 20s.

Christchurch

Mostly sunny after a cloudy and possibly foggy start to the day, while late cloud moves in towards the evening after a high in the early to mid 20s.
