ELLERSLIE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER SHOW

Flowers may be battered about tomorrow with south westerly winds gusting up to gale force for the first day of the Ellerslie International Flower Show.  “A deep low will be off the Hawke’s Bay coast tomorrow pushing against a large high in the Tasman.  That means strong south west winds rising to gale force across the Auckland region” says head weather analyst Philip Duncan.  “There’ll be some heavy showers overnight tonight but they’ll ease Wednesday morning”.

But the news isn’t all bad, with Duncan predicting calmer, drier weather on Thursday.  “Friday will be cloudy with the risk of a few brief showers and sunny weather with sea breezes will hopefully kick in for the last two days on the weekend”.
