Duck shooting and a damp start

> From the WeatherWatch archives

This weekend the duck shooting season gets underway and the weather is damp for most of the country which may see a few smiles on duck shooters faces.

Overcast skies start the day with periods of rain and winds slowly rising arelikely for more than two thirds of New Zealand at some point tomorrow with the driest conditions expected to be in the deep south with rain possible late in the day.

Sunshine with warm temperatures and calm conditions are not the most favourable but foggy skies, with some rain and breezy winds are and it appears that 2 out of three are anticipated for large chunks of Aoteoroa, particularly tomorrow.

The weekend overall is rather gloomy but Gibsorne, Napier, Hastings and Masterton could be seeing the big yellow on Sunday with temperatures warming up.

They should be shooting at real pests like magpies instead of poor old ducks!
