UPDATED
Today is a chance to get out and mow the lawns, hang out the washing or do those outdoor jobs you’ve been putting off for a while with dry weather predicted in most places.
Apart from a few showers around the North Island coastline the country should see dry weather and sunnier skies thanks to a high north of the New Zealand.
Most showery will be Northland’s west coast and around Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
The high is dipping down over the nation for only about 36 hours allowing sunnier weather to briefly move in to sodden areas.
But it will be short lived. A new rain maker is creeping in from the Tasman Sea and looks set to bring heavy rain to western and northern regions.
