After a cool start, the sun shone in many places today without too much wind and most temperatures reflected this in being a little higher overall than yesterday. A southerly however still made itself known in one or two eastern areas.
Tonight looks as if a very cool night is on the way once again, with temperatures getting close to that zero mark in some inland and southern regions.
Wednesday should be a hummer over more than 95% of the country with just a little cloud and drizzle about Fiordland being the only blip on the radar at this stage.
The top temperature was 24 in Kaitaia and the low was 14 in Waiouru.
