Some showers fell across a few isolated northern and central regions of the North Island today but over the mainland, it was generally dry and warm with some good sunshine in places.
Tonight temperatures should be near average for the time of year and tomorrow, it may feel a little warmer overall but perhaps more cloud cover bringing a little moisture to a few regions of both islands, as a depression begins to slowly establish itself over New Zealand.
The high today was 27 in Kaitaia and Alexandra and the low of 18 was in Dunedin, Taupo, Oamaru and Haast.
