Daily Debrief – SUNDAY

WeatherWatch.co.nz

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The North Island saw plenty of sunshine again today. It was also sunny in the north and east of the South Island with some very warm temperatures.
Northwesterlies were fairly blustery in the south which helped to push the temperatures up but the west of the mainland wasn’t nearly as warm.

Tonight is likely to be breezy again in the south and temperatures generally above average, due to the norwester having an effect. Elsewhere, temperatures about par for late March but possibly a little cool in a few inland North Island areas.

Tomorrow, a cool southerly works its way up the east of the mainland with any rain in the west easing. The North Island should be warmest in the north and east.

The highest temperature today was 28 in Ashburton and Culverden with the low of 16 in Milford Sound.

Hiya… we took the kids to the beach this afternoon as it was so nice… late afternoon (maybe about 4 ish) it suddenly seemed much hotter as the humidity seemed to shoot up. Its not the first time we’ve noticed this… is there some explanation for this as we discussed it but cant seem to come up with any answers. Cheers for your help, Sarah B
