Warmth returned to the North Island today after an Aurtumn-like weekend. Eastern parts of the North Island especially returning to Summer with highs in the mid to late 20s.
Cooler weather remains over the South Island’s southern and eastern coastlines but western, northern and inland places all made it into the 20s.
Today’s hot spots were Gisborne and Hastings on 27, Napier second place on 26.
The lowest high was recorded in Darfield – with just 12!
