Daily Debrief – MONDAY

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A southerly airflow kept temperatures cool over most of the country today with more than 90% of the country failing to top the 20 degree mark.

Tonight is looking very cool again from central North Island areas southward with generally dry conditions but some showers in eastern areas from Gisborne to Wellington are possible at times.
Blenheim, Ashburton, Queenstown and Alexandra are zeroing in on the freezing mark tonight, with slight frosts likely.

The east of the North Island could be a little soggy and windy again tomorrow with a few showers about Gisborne and Hawkes Bay slowly clearing but the rest of the nation should have plenty of blue sky with light and gentle breezes.

The highest temperature in the land went to Kaitaia with 23 degrees and the low was Waiouru with 11.
