Temperatures were certainly down a notch or 2 on yesterday. The sun did still manage to shine in many areas but was tempered by cooler breezes.
This evening, pretty nippy conditions are on the way in central and lower North Island areas and also inland South Island regions are likely to be affected. The mercury could dip as low as 4 or 5 degrees in places.
Saturday looks cold in the south and east of the mainland with windy conditions from the southwest and a few showers in tow.One or 2 showers could make the move into Wellington and up the east coast. Elsewhere plenty of sunshine with passing clouds, although fairly coolish with just the risk of an isolated shower.
Sunday appears drier and sunnier over much of the country but that ‘ autumnal feel ‘ remains. The deep south continues to see the cold air coming in from the southern ocean and it’s likely to continue over much of the weekend.
The maximum temperature today went to Kawerau with 25 and the low of 13 went to Gore.
