Cooler week ahead

Autumn looks as if it starts to take hold a little this week with cooler nights and some pleasant but not overly warm days ahead.

In recent weeks there have been some downpours with strong winds affecting the north along with muggy conditions however it should generally be cooler and drier but some showers are still possible with breezy conditions.

The mainland, particularly in south looks as if they’ll be peppered from time to time with showery conditions and blustery winds.

A series of fronts coming in from the southern ocean appear to be the reason for the nippy conditions that lie ahead. By later in the week, the whole of the country should be in the grip of the autumnal air.

Across the Tasman and all eyes are on Cyclone Hamish as it runs parallel to the Queensland coast but at this stage it appears it will have little impact on this side of the Tasman apart from possible high seas
