Cool with showers on Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Temperatures are back to near wintry levels again on Thursday, with cool southerly quarter winds for most of the country and showers in many parts of both islands.

Southwesterly winds in both Waikato and Auckland will be gusty to strong from the southwest, and perhaps will also stretch as far west as the Bay Of Plenty.

Wellington also sees gusty to strong southerly winds during the day, though winds in all places ease in the evening, along with any lingering showers.
