Cool and clear – Thursday’s main centre outlook

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Thursday is looking mainly clear and calm around the country, though it’s been a chilly start in many inland parts of both islands south of the Waikato.

Friday will see some more risky weather move in, but Thursday is a bit of a calm before the weekend kicks off.

Main Centres

Auckland

Mainly sunny with east to northeasterly winds, and temperatures in the early to mid teens.

Wellington

Sunny for most of the day with northerly winds picking up by midday, and temperatures staying in the preteens.

Christchurch

Sunny here too, with light winds and afternoon easterlies near the coast, temperatures in the early teens.
