Coming days: Heavy rain events in both NZ and Australia (+12 maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have no weather video today but we do have extra maps to help paint the weather picture across the New Zealand and Australia region.

Over the next few days NZ’s weather calms down in the north with the northern low unravelling.

But in the next day or two the south eastern corner of Australia will have heavy rain in one area east of Melbourne with potentially 125mm there.

A few days later, by this weekend, that same rain event moves into the West Coast of NZ and brings equally big totals of 125mm over a large area.

We’ll also see some foggy patches around parts of NZ – don’t forget you can check out the NZ Fog Forecaster at www.RuralWeather.co.nz. Again, apologies for no weather video today, due to sick leave – we will be back again on Thursday.
