Skies have cleared over many parts of the country with the sun finally returning to northern New Zealand and parts of the South Island.
Temperatures plummeted last night, most noticeably in the north where it’s been several degrees warmer so far this month.
Coldest centres at 7:30am…
Wellington was the warmest main centre on 9 degrees.
