WeatherWatch.co.nz reader Geoff Blackmore posted a video this morning of how things went from grey to blue in a big hurry.
A potent cold front moving across the country is the focus for today’s showers. Like most cold fonts, we see moist air being lifted and turned into rain out ahead of the front. Behind the front we see drier, more stable air.
There is no greater example of that than this video taken of the skies over West Auckland this morning as the front passed through.
As the cold front continues to move east, so will that clearing line.
