Clear skies = cold night

It’s another cold evening across most of New Zealand thanks to clear skies brought on by an anticyclone.

Temperatures are quickly dropping with frosts likely over much of the North Island and northern and eastern parts of the South Island.  Clouds ahead of Tuesday’s rain bands are already moving into the lower South Island.
