Clear and calm for most to start the new week – Your main centre forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The new week starts generally clear and sunny in most places, with breezes and some cloud here and there – but the only real exception to the rule is the West Coast (as usual).

Rain moving into Fiordland tonight could fall heavy at times, though this isn’t anything unusual for that part of the world.

Main Centres

Auckland

A mostly sunny morning leads to building cloud this afternoon, and the chance of an isolated shower, along with light winds for most, and temperatures in the mid teens.

Wellington

Morning southerly winds ease and die out in the afternoon, while any morning cloud then breaks to a sunny day, with temperatures in the low double digits.

Christchurch

Morning cloud then breaks into mostly sunny weather, while east to northeast winds develop near the coast, and temperatures reach the early teens.
