Although the day is either dry or drying out for many areas across the country there are a few that have had a gutsful of the ordinary temperatures it seems.
We asked readers on our Facebook site to share their weather experiences today and it wasn’t the most positive.
Nicky in North Canterbury had this to say “The weather in Rolleston at the moment is so random, it’s currently pouring with rain, the sun looked like it was coming out 10 mins ago, to be honest a wee bit over it, want to get my tomatoes in the garden but the weather is not so trust worthy at the moment!”
In the Manawatu it was the best according to Katrina “trying to be sunny in Palmerston North but the easterly is dam cold 🙁 11.4 on the weather station…..and i can see a sprinkling of snow on the Tararuas further south from here 🙁 bbbbrrrrrr “.
There was some hope in the Capital from Michael with the prospect of future sunshine and warmth “In Wellington,,was apparently sleeting on the Rimutakas earlier….not like last Tuesday which was brilliant and 21C….our day will come again…”
Christchurch residents have simply hd enough with comments such as “Cold and damp in Chch only about 8 degrees . Must have had our summer last week now back to Winter !”….” Stinks in Christchurch – I know, as I work outside and that wind is pure Antarctic !…and another said “Off to buy firewood…freezing especially at night (Christchurch) … sun is trying to come out now.
Reports of hail also came in from the south but not everyone was feeling the chill.
Monz from Taranaki said “Sunny in new plymouth, with light winds! Not a cloud in the sky :)” and the Waikato has been enjoying sunny skies with posts coming in from a couple of readers.I
nvercargill also has the big yellow with Kylie commenting about a stunning day.
It’s a mixture and spring is often when we get all sorts and today is proving no exception!
