Central NZ getting hit hard

> From the WeatherWatch archives

For not the first time this week, heavy rain is falling across Taranaki and also Nelson and Marlborough. Heavy showers are also being reported further north around parts of Northland, Auckland and the Waikato.

Lightning strikes are also on the rise on the Lightning tracker with hundered of strikes being reported in and around the North Island within the last hour.

It appears that the situation isn’t likely to improve tonight but tomorrow an improvement is expected.
