Buoyant overnight lows tonight

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Although dry conditions aren’t prevalent everywhere tonight, temperatures are expected to be a tad above normal for much of the country.

Humidity levels are quite high in the north and as a new system moves in from the Tasman Sea, these aren’t expected to fall away quickly.

Over the mainland, the mercury should remain in the low to mid teens but tomorrow cloud is expected to break in the east with warm northerlies picking up. The mid to high 20s are expected over parts of Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and North and Central Otago which is a far cry from today for a number of those regions.
