Breaking news: Helicopter hits Auckland Viaduct

 A helicopter has crashed near the Auckland Viaduct while setting up a christmas tree.

The Fire Service confirmed the crash, which happened near where the Maori Waka had been set up during the Rugby World Cup.

The helicopter pilot was seen walking away from the crash, supported by 2 people who had been walking on the ground.

Weather conditions at the time were overcast with a westerly breeze.
