Afternoon cloud build ups will see heavy downpours developing over the next few days in the upper North Island especially.
This afternoon big downpours are affecting Northland and are developing over Coromandel Peninsula, Bay of Plenty and possibly Auckland – big clouds have been building for the past hour or two.
The south east flow continues over the North Island today and east to north east for some in the South Island.
On Monday winds in the North Island may tilt more east to north east with some big afternoon clouds producing heavy downpours here and there.
For the most part expect isolated heavy showers to develop in the Upper North Island today and especially Monday.
Not everyone will be affected – so keep any eye on the sky, the rain maps and the rain radars.
Happy cloud watching 🙂 (and please send us your pics!)
