It’s a bit early yet to really nail down a forecast for ANZAC day. It’s 10 days away yet.
However, let’s give it a fair go shall we?
At this time, the models want to take another high and place it over New Zealand. This would be a large high much like we have today. The difference is it’s not as big. Also, all around the edges of this high will be rain. Lots and lots of rain.
So you can almost think of this ridge as the only thing standing between us and a sodden ANZAC Day.
There is a lot that can happen between now and next Wednesday, so I give this forecast about a 35% chance of being dead on.
Having said that, it looks like it will be a lovely ANZAC Day for most of the country. Auckland may see a few clouds and showers. The West Coast also runs the risk of seeing a few showers. Otherwise, dry and settled conditions are expected. Highs should generally be in the mid to upper teens.
