On Thursday, the same northwest airflow which has brought vastly different conditions to the east and west of the country is staying put.
Basically this results in sunny and hot weather in the east, while there’s cloudier skies in the west with showers.
Showers right from the Waikato through to Northland could become unstable in the afternoon or evening, with the chance of a thuderstorm – then easing later in the day.
