Another chilly start – #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook on Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Friday is looking calm, clear and cool for most of New Zealand – with just a hint of frost around some sheltered parts of the country – but not much more than that!

It’s been a bit cold to start in both the interior of the South and North Islands – though not much lower then around 1 or 2 degrees in isolated sheltered areas.

We haven’t had any reports of frost yet – but let us know if there’s anything on your lawn, property or windshield!

Main Centres

Auckland

Mostly warm, clear and sunny for Auckland, with light southerlies tending a little more southwest in the afternoon – and a high around 20-22C.

Wellington

Similar for the capital, though a little cooler – sunny with light northerly winds, and a high in the mid teens.

Christchurch

And a repeat for Christchurch – sunny with easterlies picking up, becoming fairly breezy in the afternoon near the coast – and a high in the late teens.
